| 1: What is Hero Wars? -Hero Wars is a team based game where the goal to kill the other teams Farm. Each player gets a hero with a primary attribute; Agility, Strength, Inteligence, and they fight the other team for control over the fighting area. Troops will continuously spawn to help you kill the other team and their farm, and the troops can upgraded to be stronger and more useful, however it takes a long time and it's really not that fun sitting in base upgrading. As the game progresses the heroes get stronger and the fighting more intense and more fun until eventually one team can push forward enough to kill the enemy Farm.
2: What is a bank? -A bank is a building that is built near the start of the game that will generate 6 gold every 3 seconds for you. The sooner you get your bank the more gold it will generate for you. Each player can get one bank, and they cost 600 gold so early banking can hurt you short term but benfit you long term.
3: Why don't I bank before the first duel? -There are a few reasons why you shouldn't bank before the first duel; First off most poeple won't do it, instead opting for highiner stats in case they duel. Meaning if you duel against someone who didn't bank then they will usually win that duel (First duel only however) but there are some exceptions which I'll get into later. Second, as your damage is lower you are less helpful in any early game nukes. Most people will try to kill the other team a few times to make them lose gold and for a gold advantage. Third reason builds upon the second reason, as you're saving for that bank, you will tend to stay back so you don't die, but should you help in a nuke it requires you move up, and that will make you a target since you have the lowest health. Finally the few exceptions are "nuke heroes" which are heroes that have high spell damage and rely on that for their first duel. As long as you can max your spells out and get a Mana Potion and other essentials you'll be fine with a bank.
4: Why don't people buy the Stat Items if they save you 10% -The stat items are nice if you want a quick rush for kills however later on you will find that you want to sell them for more favorable items. Each item saves 2 tomes worth of that stat, meaning for 2160 you can get 100 agility, but for 240 more you can get that 100 agility plus save an Inventory space which are valuable.
5: What should I buy to be ready for the first duel -This question depends on the base stat of your hero. Generally speaking you'll want the Slippers of Agility as that will save you the most gold for the first duel. In the first duel (I know a lot of this is on the first duel for now but I'll move on I promise) you want the highest stats possible.
The +10 stat items are 50% cheaper than tomes meaning you save 120 gold for each slipper you buy vs buying Agility tomes. Let's say you get 1100 gold by the first duel. For 30 agility is 720 gold in tomes, however it's only 360 gold in Slippers of Agility. For 30 strength is 600 gold in Tomes but only 300 gold in Maul of Strength, and for 30 Intelligence is 480 or 240 in Mantle of Intelligence. Assuming you buy all 6 slots of the stat item of your base stat you could save anywhere from 720 to 480 gold to spend on tomes.
I got a bit off track there with explaining the stat item benefits for that crucial first duel. Moving on. There are quiet a bit different builds you can buy for the first duel and for any duels but the two (Three for later duels) I always carry on me are Healing wards for 150 gold and Ensare 200g (third item being Anti-Magic Shell). The reason behind the Wards and Ensnare is so while you're fighting you have a way to heal yourself for more than 500, which is all the potion gives you, plus you have 3 chances to get full health. The other four items again depend on the hero. For Strength and Agility heroes you'll want 4 slippers for your attack speed and damage (Agility only) and then tome Strength for damage (Strength only) and health. Intelligence heroes should get 4 Talent Ring which gives +4 to all stats, reason being is that you need Agility for attack speed, Strength for health, and Intelligence for damage.
6: I have an Intelligence hero and I can't keep up with everyone in health and damage, what do I do? -Intelligence heroes are tricky, however they will end up being the most dangerous late game. The reason most poeple don't like Intelligence heroes is because they don't understand them and they think that because they need all 3 stats that they're worthless. However you only need all 3 for a little bit of time. Intelligence heroes rely on higher damage to win fights so once they hit 200 agility for max attack speed they focus on health and damage. Once they feel like they're at a good amount of health they can start putting out soe real nice damage. To start with as an Intelligence hero you should buy the Talent rings for 100 gold and then spend the rest on intelligence. Right after the first duel you'll want to start working on Strength and Agility AND Intelligence with Tome Of Power. Most times you can spare an inventory space for an Arpad's Crown for 1800 gold which gives 40 to all stats.
7: Why is Anti-Magic Shell so important and when should I use it? -Anti-Magic Shell is important because it keeps you from being the target of spells from the enemy. It can turn the rides in a fight on the feild, or even in a duel. The best time to use Anti-Magic Shell is always, whenever you go out to the oposing side of the feild and there is an enemy out you should have it on yourself because they might try to lure you close then nuke you before you can put up your Anti-Magic Shell. Having one on before hand you know you can go over and fight, but still be able to run away if the tides turn in their favor. Also most times the oposing team will focus on targets who don't have Anti-Magic Shell on because they can still use their spells on them.
8: Help! The other team is all using Anti-Magic Shell and I have a spell caster! -This is where it can become a bit more complicated as you need to Micro Manage while using a Priest for dispelling their Anti-Magic Shell. It requires you to build a Priest from your Death, or Holy, Shrine (150 gold) and managing it for dispels while also using your hero. Hero Wars Icelands is convient in the fact that all heroes and units, no matter their spells will use the "Q W E R" keys for spells. I would recommend putting both your Hero and Priest on hotkey so you can swap between the two quickly and effeciently. (For those of you who don't know how to Hotkey buildings, units, etc. hold down the "CTRL" key and push one of the numbers IE:1 2 3 4 5 etc.)
9: Hotkeying units, buildings and more and why it's important -It's important to hotkey your hero for the few cases where you've clicked on something else but realize you need to quickly get back to your hero without haveing to look around with your mouse to get to them. Or when you get to Micro Managing thing like Heroes and Priests, so you can cast spells quickly and effectively.
In Hero Wars you get a set amount of gold per kill your team gets, but when you die you lose a set amount as well. So it's important that when you die you don't lose all that gold, now you COULD just send it to another player quickly before you die. However some people may not hand it back, and it would have been better to just die. While on your side of the feild you lose half of your gold when yo die. If you have 1000 gold, you lose 500 of it. While on the oposing side of the feild you will lose ALL of your gold, which is why Hotkeying your Death, or Holy, Shrine is important so you can keep your gold. Now to explain how this works. When you buy things at your shrine they take time to build, but it still charges you the gold it needs to start the production on the unit. So if you are close to death and you buy a few things at your Shrine your gold will be charged and then after your death you simply cancel the buy and you will get 100% of your gold back. However this takes some practice and you might end up buying a few units on accident when you forget to cancel your buys.
10: When you should run from a fight, I know... -Most people will start running from a lost fight way too late and will end up dieing, or they get away, so they think that they can repeat the get-a-way and come back. The ideal time to start running from a fight you know you're losing is at 45% health left, this is just a rough guestamate but that will give you enough time to run back to base to heal up while you're still taking damage. A few exceptions to this would be in a 3 vs 2 fight where you kill one, then you can safely take the second guy out before returning to base, unless of course their third person runs in to help in which case run.
Well I know it's not 15.. But that's a lot of questions and answers and I can't think of anymore FAQ's to answer about Hero Wars Icelands. I'll continue to update this when I get more questions and if you have any questions you'd like answered feel free to PM me or post a reply asking a question if it is a good question I'll add it to my original post.
Edit: Decided to add some thing(s)

| I guess you could add a few more... like...
IF i'm not STR BASED, why would i need STR? -Because str also increases your HP. -Each str point gives you 25 HP
IF i'm not AGI BASED, why would i need AGI? -Because agi gives you Attack speed and Armor. -Max attack's speed is based on 200 AGI.
Does that mean if i get 200 AGI i dont need it anymore?
-Actually, Its up to you, But if you get more agi, You will get more armor. -Every 3 AGI points you will get 1 Armor. IF i'm not INT BASED, why would i need INT?
-Because INT also gives you MANA, and some heros need it. -Each INT point gives you 10 MANA
Great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ.
