I feel that SirZeel's tutorial was more or less explaining what Hero Wars looked like and he has quiet a bit of very good information there. I like a challenge however. For my sake, let XXX represent numbers and "g" represent gold. So when I have XXXg it means some amount of gold.

So I'm going to TRY to seperate this into a few posts, each post contianing each level.

Also, I'm going to steal SirZeel's idea on breaking down each hero, however I'm going to go in depth with each other dealing with stratagies and such.

Alliance Heroes

Ancient Treant: ranged str based, he has Entangle Roots, Thunder Clap, Thorns Aura and Tranquility. This hero early game can do quite a number on enemy heroes but since he's a strength based ranged hero not many like him. The nice thing about this hero is he has Tranquility and thorns, which makes him a good late game support hero for troops.
Dryad Queen: ranged agi based, she has Slow Bane, Critical Strike, Entangle Roots and Tranquility. This hero is designed to be a hero killer with slow and Entangle Roots. You might want to employ a priest to make sure the enemies can't run from you with Anti-Magic Shell. She is a fantastic late game at defending or on offense.
Furbolg Champion:
melee str based, he has Bash, Roar, Vampiric Aura and Thunder Clap. Another good late game hero killer and support hero. With his bash late game no one will want to fight him plus with his 45% vampiric aura he leeches more health you can inflict between bash hits. The same reason he is a good hero kils makes him a good support hero, late game troops with 45% vamp are hard to beat.
Mercenary Ice Troll: melee [ranged with Metamorphosis] agi based, he has Frost Nova, Vampiric Aura, Mana Burn and Metamorphosis. Another good early game hero killer due to the 45% vamp. Most players don't realize the imbalance of 45% vamp for their first duel and end up Metamorphing and can lose you the duel. He is amazing with fending off or thinning down large groups of troops.
Wendigo King: melee str based, he has Thorns Aura, Endurance Aura, Warstomp and Bloodlust. This hero is best used as a defensive hero, his spells would suggest offensive but a well timed Warstomp can save an ally from heroes or even your farm from a pushing troop group.
Gnoll Chief: melee str based, he has Warstomp, Avatar, Bash and Bloodlust. Avatar is the best skill one can have in game for duels simply because you are 100% immune to spells. Even some that can go through Anti-Magic Shell. With Avatar he is great at pushing forward early game and late game due to bash he is a good hero killer.
Goblin Shredder: melee str based, he has Entangle Roots, Thorns Aura, Critial Strike and Avatar. Another good early game hero killer with Avatar. This hero is about even with Gnoll Chief simply because of critical strike.
Pandaren King: str melee based, he has Evasion, Warstomp, Critical Strike and Roar. This hero requires a ton of skill to be used effectively. Because of his base speed you must waste an inventory space to speed him up, giving you one less space to have benficial items.
Gryphon Rider: melee int based, he has Storm Bolt, Evasion, Reincarnation, Gryphon Stealth and Lightning Shield. Great early game hero killer due to his Lightning Shield whcih deals 80 damage per second (DPS) and his ability to blink to his target, stun and activate lightning shield makes him good early game.
Gyrocopter Operator: agi melee based, he has Storm Bolt, Rain of Fire, Endurance Aura, Avatar and Truesight. This hero can be used in few ways, a support hero to stop a push from happening or an offensive hero that can track down any invisible mortar rushes.
Wolf Master: ranged [melee in Wolf Form] int based, he has Mana Burn, Feral Spirit, Wolf Form and Cyclone. This hero is probably the best early game hero when used correctly. The biggest problem is that it requires you to get a few kills before the first duel and then BE IN the first duel or he gets underpowered quick.
Elite Archer: ranged int based, she has Frost Nova, Cold Arrows, Trueshot Aura and Reincarnation. This hero is an extremely good early-mid game hero killer due to the ice arrows, frost nova and trueshot. Late game the Trueshot aura will make your Archers near untouchable and the Frost Nova will slow down troops enough for your teammates to kill off one or two.
Archangel: ranged int based, she has Chain Jolt, Entangle Roots, Frost Nova and Evasion. This hero requires you to employ a priest late game and is best used to keep heroes in place while you're on the offensive. She can also be used defensively to slow troops and Entangle the strong troops to be picked off one by one.
Demon Slayer: melee agi based, he has Mana Burn, Storm Bolt, Critical Strike and War Drums. A good hero killer due to the critical strike and storm bolt. His War drums are extremely weak, however they increase all attack, not just melee so when combined with a Trueshot hero they can deal massive amounts of damage.
Elite Huntress: ranged agi based, she has Unholy Aura, WindWalk, Trueshot Aura and Evasion. Good for base rushing and killing heroes as they run back to base to heal. Once the other team gets truesight she turns into a normal ranged hero.
Warden: melee agi based, she has Shockwave, Evasion, Avatar and Command Aura. This hero is used to push forward and makes for a good tank late game with Evasion and shockwave.
Exiled Seer: ranged int based, he has Entangle Roots, Immolation, Cold Arrows and Abolish Hex. This hero is very easy to use, all you need to know about it is use your abolish hex on any enemy with Anti-Magic Shell and you can kill them.
Master Priest: short ranged [normal range with Spirit Metamorphosis] int based, he has Holy Light, Spirit Metamorphosis, Truesight and Anti-Magic Shell. This hero is mainly used defensively but he has a good offensive use as well. Most people don't use Holy light offensively, rather to use it to heal teammates, which is fine if you want their hero to get away. You have wards to heal teammates and Holy Light to hurt enemies.
Wizard: ranged int based, he has Frost Armor, Evasion, Incarnation of Self and Rejuvination. This hero is good in the first duel and requires a bit of attention to use properly. You need high amount of intelligence to use this hero effectively.
Priestess of the Moon: ranged agi based, she has Trueshot Aura, Death and Decay, Shockwave and Slow Bane. This hero is good at killing early and late game heroes as she can deal high amounts of damage quickly. She is also good at taking out lines of towers at a safe distance with Death and Decay, so long as your allies help protect you from enemy heroes.
Druid of the Talon: ranged int based, he has Divine Owl, Stalker, Sleep and Raven Evolution. This hero can be devestating as he has 500 speed in Raven form which can be used to rush heroes as they try to run or to run away from a lost fight. He is also good at scouting enemies with stalker.
Elite Rifleman: ranged agi based, he has Chain Jolt, Thunder Clap, Avatar and Curse. This hero can be good as a stand alone hero or with allies to help, since he is a ranged agility hero most people won't want to fight this one alone.
Cleric Champion: melee agi based, he has Holy Light, Storm Bolt, Mirror Image and Divine Field. Great late game hero, mirror image is the best way to stop a troop rush dead in its tracks. The troops will focus on the clones as the real hero picks off the stronger troops.
Dumpster Keeper: melee str based, he has Storm Bolt, Mana Burn, Bash and Critical Strike. One of the best hero killers in game. With bash and crit and a ranged stun at his disposal he can kill most any hero so long as they give you a chance to get near them..
Exiled Footman: melee agi based, he has Storm Bolt, Shockwave, Endurance Aura and Earthquake. Best Alliance early game nuker. With maxed spells this hero can do 750 damage in mere seconds, he is also a quick hero can can blend in with troops.
Phoenix Guard: melee agi based, he has Shockwave, Endurance Aura, Evasion and Reincarnation. This hero is similiar to Exiled Footman but not so much as a nuke hero than a tank hero. With Reincarnation (rein) he can stop troops while dealing massive AOE.
Marine: ranged agi based, he has Firebolt, Critical Strike, Searing Arrows and Azuring Cripple. Great late game hero killer, with a stun, cripple and crit it's hard to face him down alone.
Exiled Hobbit: melee agi based, he has Evasion, Thunder Clap, WindWalk and Critical Strike. Good for early game hero kills as they run back to heal decent late game after the other team gets truesight.
Silver Knight: melee str based, he has Endurance Aura, Devotion Aura, Inner Fire, Warstomp and Critical Strike. Great support hero for hero rushes but weak on his own.
Eldear Cleric Lord: melee str based, he has Holy Light, Storm Bolt, Death and Decay and Devotion Aura. Great at early game kills with Holy light and at killing building with Death and Decay, most people underestimate him.
Dwarven Lord: melee str based, he has Storm Bolt, Thunder Clap, Endurance Aura and Avatar. Another good hero rusher biggest problem is late game he is little more than a damage soak.

Scourge Heroes

Bladestorm Chief: melee agi based, he has Firebolt, Mirror Image, Death Coil and Bladestorm. Great for early game nuking can deal up to 600 damage in seconds with max spells and Mirrir Image will keep you safe from most offensive attacks on you.
Demon Master: melee agi based, he has Storm Bolt, Mana Burn, Critical Strike and Demonic Aura. Great hero killer due to the damage debuff he has which decreases nearby damage for all enemies.
Centaur Champion: melee str based, he has Bash, Shockwave, Reincarnation and Critical Strike. Similar to Dumpster keep if you can get in range of another hero you can almost always kill them. With Rein you almost never lose in a duel or fight.
Wind Rider: ranged int based, he has Firebolt, Immolation, Reincarnation, Curse and Quantum Wings. Similar to Gryphon Rider only less powerful early game. The biggest reason this hero is better is because he is ranged.
Demonic Warlord: melee str based, he has Storm Bolt, Chain Jolt, Reincarnation and Endurance Aura. Great early game hero killer with storm bolt and chain lightning over 700 damage with maxed spells.
Space Fel Orc: ranged agi based, he has Firebolt, Shockwave, Critical Strike and Reincarnation. Another hero killer due to the stun and critical strike, this hero is good in all fights.
Blademaster: melee str based, he has Bash, Vampiric Aura, Warstomp and Death Coil. Very deadly hero, his 45% vamp combined with bash make him near unstoppable late game.
Ogre King: melee str based, he has Warstomp, Unholy Aura, Roar and Avatar. Good in duels with Avatar and in hero rushes. He is very weak alone since he has limited defensive skills.
Orc Knight: ranged agi based, he has Chain Jolt, Thunder Clap, Thunder Strike and Avatar. Thunder strike is a weak version of critial strike but it still hurts. He is a good hero killer mainly due to the fact he has avatar and crit.
Black Wizard: ranged int based, he has Mirror Image, Chain Jolt, Starfall and Anti-Magic Shell. Great for offense or defense. His free Anti-Magic shell and ranged attack are the best the Scourge side has to offer.
Shaman Crowcaller: melee agi based, he has Silence, Harden, Crow Swarp and Unholy Grasp. Hard to use hero but definately a fantastic hero once you learn how to use him properly. His Unholy Grasp can keep heroes from fleeing the fight.
Crypt Fiend: ranged str based, he has Finger of Death, Trueshot Aura, Azuring Cripple and Metamorphosis. Very limited hero, he's only good at supporting a hero rush and killing off large groups of troops.
Voidwalker: ranged int based, he has Wind Walk, Putrid Swarm, Rain of Fire and Metamorphosis. Best Scourge side early-mid game killer. Once the other team gets truesight he becomes a decent ranged hero.
Demonic Lord: melee str based, he has Warstomp, Putrid Swarm, Vampiric Aura and Earthquake. Good with eary game hero ruhes and late game tower kills. His Earthquake allows him to kill buildings at a safe distance.
Vengeance Knight: melee str based, he has Storm Bolt, Death Coil, Azuring Cripple, Critical Strike and Animate Dead. Good support hero and good early game nuke hero, With max spells he can deal 750 damage in seconds.
Corrupt Priest: melee int based, he has Firebolt, Cyclone, Azuring Cripple and Death and Decay. Best "Crowd Control" hero in game. He can stop heroes from fleeing a fight, stop enemy heroes from assiting in a fight and keep two heroes weakened in a fair fight. Must employ a priest otherwise he becomes worthless
Sleeper Revenant: ranged int based, he has Frost Nova, Sleep, Death and Decay and Unholy Aura. Great at controling enemy heroes but weak alone. Best use is to kill lines of towers late game.
Spider Queen: ranged int based, she has Trueshot Aura, Firebolt, Putrid Swarm, Curse and Dark Portal. Fantastic early game hero can be used to trap and kill heroes early or late game, used to funnel fleeing heroes in a direction they don't want to go.
Undead Baron: ranged int based, he has Firebolt, Unholy Aura, Finger of Death and Slow Posion. Great early game hero rush support however he has little going for him except the free slow.
Dreadlord: melee str based, he has Sleep, Putrid Swarm, Bash and Starfall. Weak early game but powerful in late game situations. Good at keeping groups of heroes seperated.
Dark Sage: ranged int based, he has Firebolt, Frost Nova, Unholy aura, Animate Dead and Raise Dead. Raise Dead is int hero based. Good early game with Raise dead but you need to focus on Int to make his minions stronger.
Gloomy Willow: melee agi based, he has Entangle Roots, Critical Strike, Poison Aura and Truesight. Fantastic hero killer with slow aura and roots. High damage and great for fighting all kinds of heroes.
Tribal Chieftain: melee str based, he has Bash, Thunder Clap, Reincarnation and Bloodlust. Great support hero and good for ealy game rushes.
Gnoll Marksman: ranged agi based, he has Curse, Trueshot Aura, Critical Strike and Reincarnation. Great for early-mid game hero kills but late game he becomes a high value target due to Rein crit and trueshot.
Dark Assasin: melee [ranged with Metamorphosis] agi based, she has Slow Bane, Evasion, Metamorphosis and Thunder Clap. Hard to use hero but very strong when done correctly. She can kill large groups of troops easily in Meta.
Dark Seer: ranged int based, he has Firebolt, Putrid Swarm, Unholy Aura and Abolish Hex. The best hero killer and support hero combined into one in the game. He is great for early game hero kills and late game support.
Bandit Lord: melee str based, he has Bash, Vampiric Aura, Ensnare and Thunder Clap. Exellent at keeping heroes from fleeing a fight and good late game creep support.
Skeleton Heir: melee str based, he has Putrid Swarm, Storm Bolt, Unholy Aura and Avatar. Extremely good early game nuker. Can deal up to 750 damage with max spells and with Avatar he is untouchable early game. Evens out late game however.
Dark Ranger: ranged agi based, she has Trueshot Aura, Curse, Evasion and Posion Arrows. Great at early game hero killing and early game high damage. Poison Arrows don't need mana [description is wrong].
Kobold Illusionist: melee int based, he has Mirror Image, Windwalk, Evasion and Critical Strike. Used best in situations where you need to keep the enemy heroes occupied. Not much offensive abilities for this one but great at defensive and farm rushing.
Spirit Beast: melee [ranged with Infernal Metamorphosis] int based, he has Cyclone, Summon Water Elemental and Thorns Aura. Infernal Metamorphosis counts as Avatar [spell immunity]. Great early game hero killer with Water Elemental and great later game with a ranged avatar ability.

Credit goes to SirZeel for initailly writing all this down for the community, I took the base of it and felt you deserved credit.

Level One

At the beginning of the game there will be a random player to chose modes. Most players in the Hero Wars community will pick or want All Random (-ar) because they think it's the most fair. However it's your choice as the mode picker. (Be warned people will quit when you do Mirror mode (-mm) because that mode sucks... or do No duels (-nd) because that ruins the pace of the game.)

After the modes are picked you will either get a random hero or you get to pick a hero, should you get to pick a hero you have a quiet a bit of options as there are three shops to choose heroes from. Each hero has a near equal on the other side so there really is no unique hero save one or two per side. Alright enough with the technical things, onto the game play.

Once you have your hero you start in front of your shrine, which should be hotkeyed along with your hero. If you don't know how to hotkey things I'll add a link to my FAQ which covers that and more. To the right is two circle of powers which will teleport you onto the feild closest to the enemy side of the feild. And to the left are two circle of powers to teleport you near your own Farm. Once out on the feild you'll have some first level towers to help protect you from enemy heroes but still you shouldn't stray too close to the line unless you have some heroes with a heal or are planning on attacking an enemy hero. Either side of you are shops with the same items except the spell shops which you won't need until later on. Last thing before I move on; don't be afraid to run inside to heal at your base if you're low on health. 30 seconds of experience isn't worth the 100-200g you'll lose if you die.

The fighting will go on for a few minutes until a first duel, by which time you'll want to be level 6 and have your items ready in case you duel. If you are in the duel then you'll get 600g upon winning which needs to be spent making a bank. Bamks ultimately cost you 700g, 100 for the peon/peasent and 600g for the bank itself. You can only have one bank at a time so don't waste gold and food (Buildings take food as well and you only get a limited amount) by building another in hopes of getting more gold. After all this you go back to fighting on the feild, usually one team or the other will push forward to kill the others towers, which will allow them free range of a big portion of the feild to kill you, while they still have protection of their towers. It's important that if they kill your towers that you push back and kill theirs right after or you defend yours should you kill theirs first.

Level two will be posted soon.
